Memory Leaks and bad calls Custom Build 54.20.6530.0

Postby FranceBB » Sun Sep 02, 2018 2:04 am

It's been 9 months now and we are approaching the end of the year.
No new releases have been made since January 5th and there are still bugs that make 54.20.6530.0 impossible to use on sites like Facebook.
On Facebook, there's a huge memory leak that makes the program crash by either scrolling the home or viewing videos, albums with many pictures and so on.
As to the bad call, it happens whenever the user goes into "Settings".

The instruction 0x04d670ed referenced memory at 0x00000000.
The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0x75b2b11c.

By clicking "Ok" the program is shut down.
By clicking "Debug", it's possible to modify settings normally.

Are these issues going to be fixed?
Should we expect a new version of Custom Build (XP Compatible) anytime soon?

Thank you in advance,
Frank.

Hello, welcome to the forum!

The message when going into settings is related to pepflashplayer.dll, try removing the file from the directory to check if the message is gone.

Already tried to update but it was impossible because of XP old kernel, the only solution is to update XP kernel to include newer cryptographic libraries and some newer thread safe functions that are needed for chrome +54

The problem is that you can not build chrome 52 with newer webkit/blink and V8 because of the newer sandboxing they created, it won't even compile.

I don't know if updating XP kernel is even possible but it is the only chance to use newer apps.

I see...
Actually, it is possible to update the kernel and anyone can contribute to the project:

Hi FranceBB, downloaded shorthorn 3804 ISO but could not find a working serial.

You should create a new thread here explaining everyone step by step how it works, how it can be installed, etc.

I will.
Anyway, it's a project handled by Samuka that let's you install a modified OS, but you could even just install the One Core API to an existent version of Windows.

You have to go to the "Binary" repository https://github.com/Skulltrail192/One-Core-API-Binaries
Once you get there, just go to "Packages" and choose either x86 or x64.
You'll find the installers inside.
I strongly suggest you to test it in a VM first instead of on a physical version of Windows.
If it works and you are fine with that, then install it on your physical version of Windows.

Cheers ;)
